While you probably aren’t staring at them that often, better wheels are one of the fastest and most noticeable improvements you can make to almost any rolling chair. Good wheels will feel much smoother and should reduce noise considerably. There are tons of options out there, so be sure to find something that is compatible with your current chair and flooring type. If you are just looking for an easy cheap improvement you can’t go wrong with the universal rubber wheels we have linked above.

If your chair is just not as comfortable as it used to be, we recommend grabbing a comfy cushion to significantly extend its life. While some might reach for a back pillow first, we find that the right seat cushion gives you more bang for your buck. The purple cushion we have pictured is a bit on the pricey side but it’s hard to beat its comfort and longevity.

A nice floor mat can add some visual flair to your setup while providing tons of functionality. We recommend something with a rubber or grippy backing to minimize sliding and avoid anything getting stuck in your wheels. You’ll need to consider the size of your space when purchasing a mat but if you have the space go with something that’s round. Most of the movement you do in a gaming chair stays in a circular area so this will minimize rolling off the mat.
