The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a Nintendo exclusive and expected to release in spring of 2023, we could not be more thrilled! The long anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild is throwing some new game mechanics at you such as dungeon crawling, no more weapon breakage, and possibly time reversal? All of this along with a stark change in scenery to make yet another beautiful open world game!
The latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed series is set to release sometime in 2023 on multiple platforms. In this game you play as Basim, a street thief who seems to be seeking justice. This story is set in 9th century Baghdad, rich with culture and stunning architecture. The Assassins Creed developers have ramped up their animations with this one taking parkour and assassinations to a new level visually. This game has the making of some serious eye candy.
Oxenfree 2
Oxenfree is an indie oldie but a goodie and was nominated for several awards and won out in excellence in visual arts. Now it’s finally back with a sequel, Oxenfree 2. Set to release in 2023 on multiple platforms Oxenfree 2 already has us reeled in for more eerie adventures where 5 years after the events of the original game you play as Riley returning to her hometown to investigate the mysterious radio signals that have appeared there. If it’s anything like the last game, it will be filled with puzzles, a rich story, and a mystery well beyond the scope of our protagonist.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Hollow knight was a 2017 Metroidvania style game that was overwhelmingly popular, so much so that it got nominated for BAFTA awards in 2018. And now the iconic game is back with an epic sequel, set to possibly release in 2023 on multiple platforms. You find yourself back in these haunting towns and sceneries playing as the princess Hornet, the protector of Hallownest.
Aliens: Dark Descent
Everyone knows and loves the alien franchise, now they’re coming out with a new game! Yes, another one. Technically there have been 38 officially licensed video games that are based off the Alien franchise, but fans are still hungry for more and we are no exception. Alien Dark Descent is a single player horror-action game set to release in 2023 on multiple platforms. Although not much has yet been released, this being the next step in the Alien franchise gives this the potential to be a new cult classic to rival Alien: Isolation.
